Description

I was commissioned to create this personalised piece for a women-owned business in the hair, beauty, and wellness industry. The objective of this commission was to focus on the concept of inner beauty, and how outer beauty is a reflection of it. I chose a colour palette that represents their values and beliefs – green, to signify growth and life, reflecting their commitment to using natural products that cause no harm. The addition of orange elements showcases their passion and vibrance. The use of gold and glimmer reflects the importance of carrying our own inner light.

The giraffe was chosen as a significant symbol for their brand, with a personal connection to the business owners. The final artwork reflects their ethos and vision, with a message of “the beauty that lies within”.

As an artist, I am passionate about creating art that speaks to the viewer on a deeper level. This commission was a beautiful opportunity for me to create something that not only reflects the business but also resonates with the people who work there, and their clients. The final artwork is a reminder of the importance of embracing inner beauty, allowing it to shine through and be reflected in everything we do.
